To good health

December 2013

A healthy workforce is a productive one, and preventative care can help keep you and your employees healthy and focused.

Under the new requirements in the Affordable Care Act, except for some grandfathered plans, your employees will not have to pay a copay, co-insurance, or meet their deductible to receive certain kinds of preventative health care.

These preventive care services may include screenings, vaccinations, and counseling, including:

  • Blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol tests
  • Counseling on topics such as quitting smoking, losing weight, eating healthfully, treating depression and reducing alcohol use
  • Regular well-baby and well-child visits
  • Flu and pneumonia shots
